In a world driven by innovation and progress, industries serve as the backbone of our society. From technology to healthcare, entertainment to agriculture, every sector plays a crucial role in shaping our daily lives. Beyond their economic impact, industries also possess the power to inspire, educate, and uplift communities. But where does the media industry sit amidst it all?

The media business can often be perceived as an ego-driven and predominantly money-focused sector, perhaps removed from the more selfless ideals of generosity and goodwill.
When I began my career in this field, I was trained to be fiercely competitive, always on my A-game to represent the company in the best light. Success I was told, depended on showcasing my tenacity and ambition within and outside of the office.
While my personality and ego were strong enough to embrace this competitive spirit, I also harboured a deeper inclination toward caring for others, working as a team, helping my colleagues by sharing my knowledge and assisting them in being the best version of themselves. At times, it felt as though these two sides of me were in conflict. Eventually, I left the industry for a while, feeling a need to focus on my nurturing side. During this period, I studied psychology, natural medicine and psychotherapy.
On this journey, I realised my deep passion for both industries. Thus, I ventured back part-time into the media world while also working in psychotherapy and wellness. Balancing these two vastly different roles was enjoyable but one day, feeling particularly drained, I asked myself if there was a way to combine both passions into a single career.
Enter Eira Joy Aringay. She had been pondering a similar question and approached me with a proposition.
Eira and I have a long history; we started our media careers at RMIT completing the same course, before working together at Network Ten for several years. Our paths diverged slightly but we eventually reunited, finding ourselves working part-time for a small agency. Like me, she was also pondering how to live out her values to give generously and sincerely while still being engaged in the media industry.
Nurturing others is a shared passion for me and Eira; we believe in the importance in lifting people up, showing understanding, extending kindness and providing emotional support in challenging situations.
We also have years of experience and knowledge in media and advertising.
This synergy gave birth to Media Notes, a venture that allows us to remain authentic while working in the industry we know and love.
Media Notes represents our commitment to merging the competitive world of media with the compassionate realm of wellness. It’s a testament to the possibility of thriving in an industry without losing sight of the generosity and caring. This fusion allows us to stay true to who we are, bringing together the best of both worlds in our professional lives.

Our Team
Media Notes is run by a small team of two – long time colleagues and good friends.
